The Essex County Risk Management is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact county operations, employees, and public services. Our mission is to protect county assets, ensure workplace safety, and minimize financial liabilities by implementing effective risk management strategies, insurance programs, and safety initiatives.

We work closely with county departments to develop policies, implement safety protocols, and manage claims to reduce exposure to risks related to property damage, liability, and workplace accidents. By promoting proactive risk assessment and loss prevention, we help ensure the county operates efficiently while safeguarding public resources and personnel.
